Durand Curtis was born in a small town along the Gulf Coast where the blue waters of the Gulf coexist with the light, airy summer breezes.  His earliest exposure to music came when his grandfather discovered a guitar, as it floated amidst the debris in the aftermath of hurricane “Camille” in New Orleans, Louisiana. Serendipity flirted with fate, and as his grandfather gave the guitar to Durand, a powerful passion for music was sparked.

 

Durand’s signature style is infused with a dose of jazz, a hint of classical, and a mound of easy listening to bring color and vibrancy to any occasion. His musical influence pulls from the laid back sounds of Earl Klugh and George Benson to the radiance of Santana. From studying classical music in college to playing in an R&B band, Durand’s unique musical plane creates a delectable experience for every listener.
